CSU is one of the most competitively-priced universities in the state, with one of the lowest tuition rates. Incoming freshmen are automatically considered for a range of merit-based scholarships that can save students up to $24,000 for Ohio residents and $34,000 for domestic non-residents in tuition! Students are also eligible for financial aid and we have launched a series of innovative initiatives aimed at streamlining the path to graduation. And when they graduate, CSU students graduate with nearly 8-percent less debt than the state average ($26,809 vs. $29,090).
CSU is an Excellent Value! With renowned professors and researchers, a reputation for challenging students to achieve, and innovative student success programs, the degree you earn here is respected by employers worldwide. Our priority is making this an investment you can afford. Over the years, we've kept our tuition, making a CSU degree a valuable investment. We also award millions annually in renewable freshman and transfer scholarships.
Earning a college degree is rewarding, but what you really want out of 4 years of studying is a job. And to get a job, you need experience.
At Cleveland State University, we are committed to helping students prepare for a successful and rewarding career. Last year, CSU students completed over 3,000 internships and co-ops, from business to engineering, science to education.
Our location in downtown Cleveland makes it easy to have an internship with some of the largest companies in the world and complete classes in the same semester. And our partnerships with major organizations in the city such as Cleveland Clinic, Sherwin-Williams, Progressive, NASA, United Way and the Cleveland Indians gives our students access to the best opportunities that lead to jobs after graduation.
More than 90 percent of CSU's full-time professors hold the highest degrees in their fields. With nearly 50 Fulbright grants awarded to our faculty in the past decade alone, CSU is one of the leading universities in this prestigious international education exchange program.
Our distinguished faculty includes physicians and researchers from the Cleveland Clinic, members of the Cleveland Orchestra and a Grammy Award-winning pianist! Our business college is accredited by AACSB International in both business and accounting, a distinction shared with less than 5 percent of business schools around the world. And in addition to consistently being names as one of America's Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report, several of our programs are ranked in the top of the nation.
A recent report from the influential Brookings Institution lists Cleveland State University in the top three among Ohio's four-year public universities that give graduates the largest boost to career earnings.
According to the report, CSU graduates have mid-career salaries that are more than $10,000 higher than those of demographically similar graduates from other colleges and universities — the third highest percentage boost in a grouping of Ohio's four-year public universities.
