Applications are accepted throughout the year. High School students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission in the fall of their senior year or as early as possible. All students must be admitted to Cleveland State before receiving financial aid and scholarships and applying for campus housing. Review the admission requirements prior to completing the online or printed application.

A nonrefundable $40 application fee is required by check or money order (made payable to Cleveland State University). Students submitting an application online may pay with Visa or MasterCard.
High School students who have limited financial resources and meet the NACAC requirements may use the NACAC Request for Application Fee Waiver Form when applying for college. Download the form.
All paper transcripts must be submitted in an official sealed envelope.
Official ACT or SAT scores are required for admission to Cleveland State. Scores appearing on your official high school transcript are acceptable. You can also request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State directly from the testing agencies. Cleveland State's codes are:

As an applicant, you have access to track the status of your application and to view your admission decision once it is available. This access begins as soon as you receive your CSU ID number. You will receive your CSU ID number from us via email once your application is received. If you have previously opted out of receiving emails from CSU, please contact us at 216.523.7416 or email@example.com to opt back in and to receive your CSU ID Number.

All new freshmen entering Summer 2017 or later must pay the $120 enrollment fee in order to register for orientation and enroll. To pay your enrollment fee, log on to Campus Net. Students who meet NACAC guidelines may request to have the enrollment fee deferred. More information will be sent to admitted students by mail and email when it becomes available.
Students interested in living in CSU's residence halls should apply for housing as early as possible by completing the housing application. On-campus housing is limited and fills quickly.
